What is the impact of sharing my information with seccorganization.org scammers« Back to Questions List

After receiving free conference email, I shared my phone number with the seccorganization.com scammers. Do I need to inform law enforcement or bank to protect my money?

You are almost safe as long as you did not share any other information like bank account number, your date of birth, passport number, or any government issued ID information. Sharing a phone number may be problematic, if they use it to send you text to hack your phone etc. Keep reviewing your phone usage and behavior for the next months to ensure nothing wrong happens. Also, if you share your passport information, they can use it in other scams posing as you.
