Time Warner Cable user data is leaked over internet

MacKeeper Security Research Center reported today that Kromtech Security Center found two cloud based file repositories (AWS S3 buckets with public access) that appear to be connected with the BroadSoft Inc.

The two repositories contained thousands and thousands records and reports for a number of BroadSoft Inc. clients with Time Warner Cable (TWC) appearing to be the most prominent and including applications like Phone 2 Go, TWC app, WFF etc.

The Kromtech Security Research Center has downloaded the contents of the repository for verification purposes and it is unclear if anyone else has had access to the data.

CDSBureau recommends that if you have been a Time Warner Cable (currently Spectrum) customer, then you must change your account and relevant app passwords.
